Swedish intensive summer courses

In July we run our courses with the following starting dates.

They take place in the mornings and run for two weeks each, five days a week (Monday to Friday, 09:00–11:15).

As many people prefer to study for a shorter period during the summer, we divide our regular intensive courses into two two-week modules. However, you are more than welcome to combine them and study for four weeks in total if you wish.

City walks and language café

As a summer student you have the opportunity join a city walk with an authorized city guide or join our language café. These activities take place in the afternoons and are free of charge for summer students. However, you need to book yourself for each activity.

Boost your summer studies!

You can also order additional individual lessons in the afternoon, to learn even more. Then your teacher will focus on your personal needs and interests. You can do this at our school or online on Zoom or Teams.

September - in Gothenburg

* The intensive morning courses start on 31 August. We are offering an early bird discount for the first period of intensive courses – book by 3 August to receive the discount.

* The evening courses run twice a week for five weeks and start on 7 and 8 September.

September - online

Our online evening courses also start on 7 and 8 September. They run for five weeks, with classes held twice a week. We also offer special interest courses, such as pronunciation or conversation classes, held online during lunchtime.

Take a two-week Swedish summer course!

In July and August, we offer Swedish summer courses in central Gothenburg.

The courses take place in the mornings and run for two weeks at a time, five days a week, Monday to Friday, 09:00–11:15. Levels: from A1 beginners to advanced level.

Since many people prefer to study for a shorter period during the summer, we divide our regular intensive 4-week courses into two separate two‑week parts. You are, of course, very welcome to study both parts (2 + 2 weeks) if you wish.

City Walks & language cafés
As a summer student, you have the opportunity to join a city walk with an authorized city guide or take part in our language café. These activities take place in the afternoons and are free of charge for all summer students. However, you do need to book yourself onto each activity.

Our courses are organized according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

A = basic
B = intermediate
C = advanced

It’s important to choose a course that matches your level. We recommend taking our placement test before booking.

Sommerkurse Schwedisch (A1-B2) in Göteborg

Take a Swedish intensive course in Göteborg this summer! The courses are 2-3 weeks and start in June, July and August. Levels: from A1 Beginners up to level B2.

The summer courses also include a "Social Programme" with guided city walks in the afternoons and excursions in the weekends. This way you get to know the other students and the city of Göteborg in a fun and relaxed way.

Junior Chamber Club der Schwedischen Handelskammer

Der Junior Chamber Club fungiert als „Netzwerk im Netzwerk“ der Schwedischen Handelskammer. Hier kommen Young Professionals zusammen – ganz gleich ob junge Schweden, die in Deutschland studieren oder arbeiten, oder junge Menschen anderer Nationalitäten mit einer Vorliebe für Schweden. Alle verbindet das Interesse für Kontakte und Themen der deutsch-schwedischen Wirtschaft. Der JCC ist in erster Linie ein Forum für junge Leute unter 36 Jahren, die hier ihre eigenen Interessen pflegen sowie berufliche und private Kontakte knüpfen möchten. Wer Mitglied im JCC ist, ist gleichzeitig auch vollwertiges Mitglied der Schwedischen Handelskammer. Ursprünglich wurde der JCC nach einem erfolgreichen Vorbild aus London gegründet. Die Gründer kamen im November 2001 in Frankfurt am Main zusammen und hoben den JCC auch in Deutschland aus der Taufe. Heute hat der JCC rund 200 Mitglieder in ganz Deutschland.

Uppsala International Summer Session 2013

Study Swedish in Uppsala, Sweden and meet the world

Uppsala International Summer Session organizes summer courses in the Swedish language. Since 1963 thousands of students have attended our courses. Their reasons and backgrounds vary, but after attending UISS they have at least one thing in common: a better proficiency in the language and a deeper understanding of the Swedish culture. Every year 35 - 40 students return to the UISS.

UISS offers a variety of courses and great optional longer trips. Swedish language courses are offered at all levels, from complete beginners to very advanced. Please note that you need to be at the A2+ level to apply for a two or six week course. The duration of the courses varies from 2 to 8 weeks. If you already have some understanding of the language please take a placement test before applying.
